I searched for a thread on this book and didn't find one (to my surprise), so I'm starting one. Anyone else have this book? I just finally dug into it this week and have tried three of the tofu scrambles already (sesame scramble with greens and yams, puttanesca scramble, and pesto scramble with grape tomatoes.)

The puttanesca scramble is my favorite so far -- it's absolutely delicious, although it doesn't taste like something I'd normally be having for brunch. More of a dinnertime taste.

I love this book. The basic scrambled tofu is a weekend brunch staple for us. Sometimes we have it on its own with hashbrowns and veggie sausages or bacon, or sometimes we have it on bagels, english muffins, or rolls. It also works pretty well to cut the tofu in slices rather than crumble it - makes for a neater sandwich although the flipping is a bit more tedious.

I also really like the waffle recipes (peanut butter waffles, Chelsea waffles, gingerbread waffles). The pancakes were ok, but need a little tweaking since they were too sweet. There are still lots of things I want to try! I assume you've found the review thread over on Vegweb?

oh try the tempeh crumbles! Excellent "sausage" flavor, since it uses fennel seeds and all of the other spices that go into sausage. Goes well with any bkft items mentione and on pizza!!!

Thanks for the recommendations I need to try those tempeh crumbles, and the peanut butter waffles!

The review thread on vegweb looks really helpful. I need to get into vegweb, this is the only veggie-related website I really visit right now (well, this and PPK).

if you go on there forums, there is a whole cookbook section by itself, it's a subheading of maybe the kitchen forum.....I don't post at all....think it's kind of clique-y there, but I like reading from time to time.

I often have tofu scramble and toast....I have found that a potato masher works best to mash it up. I used to put it in the blender but that spoils it really.
