I love advent calendars, but most are filled with milk chocolate. Anyone know of some good vegan ones?

I don't know of any pre-filled vegan advent calendars, but you could purchase either a non-food advent calendar or one of those reusable, fill yourself advent calendars. The latter are pricier, but you wouldn't have to buy a new one every year. This is the first one I found, but I'm sure there's plenty more choices out there <a href="http://currentcatalog.com/productDetail~useStoredQuery~1~subCatID~~superprodid~15963.asp" target="_blank">http://currentcatalog.com/productDet...odid~15963.asp</a><br><br><br><br>
Some more ...<br><br><br><br><a href="http://www.target.com/gp/search.html/601-8155139-9156120?field-keywords=advent+calendar&url=index%3Dtarget&x=18&y=15" target="_blank">http://www.target.com/gp/search.html...rget&x=18&y=15</a>

Well, you could always get those ones just with the little pictures behind the doors instead of chocolate. I didn't know they sold ones with chocolate in 'till I was 10. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/tongue3.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":p"><br><br>
That's probably not the answer you wanted though <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/grin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":D">

The one I've had since I was little is a felt house, and there are little pockets all over the place, and you put these little stuffed felt shapes/dolls/etc in the pockets. They have the number of the day on the back, so you have to guess which one's which, since they're not in order. Except by the time you're 24, you have 'em all memorized. *blows on nails & rubs 'em on her shirt*

Maybe I'll get a reusable fill it yourself one and stuff each day with an Endangered Species dark chocolate bar. Then I could just have one of those every single day. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/grin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":D">

If your crafty, you could make one yourself. I'm not really sher how, as I'm not all that crafty myself, but maybe you can figure it out!

My mom used to collect different advent calendars... of the non chocolate variety. Usually you opened a door/drawer or took something out of a pocket and hung it on a tree or put it into a nativity scene. Or are you just wanting to eat chocolate every day? :p

I just got ones at Walgreens that are quite accidentally vegan, I'm sure.<br><br>
My kids aren't vegan, so I wasn't looking for ones specifically - I was only going for cheap-cheap-cheap (and it appears that's what it is!!).<br><br>
The "chocolate" is some crappy stuff with hydrogenated fats and artificial flavors... but no animal products! Go figure!<br><br>
It's miniscule pieces, so I'm not too stressed about the ingredients, and I'm sure my kids won't care - candy (of any sort!!) for 25 days in a row is such an unheard-of treat they won't care what it actually tastes like!
