In our continuing series of Star Interviews, our new VB Celebrity is Tiger Lilly! Yay!!! Tiger Lilly hails from "Down Under," as we in the northern hemisphere would say, and has been a VB member for over two-years. Let's give it up for Tiger Lilly!
A few simple rules for interviewing:
-Please ask only a few questions at a time, so everyone has a chance to participate. (You can come back often to ask more questions!) Each interview runs for a week, typically from Monday to Monday.
-Anyone (and everyone) can be a VB Star. If you would like to be a VB Star, just send me or any of the moderators a PM, and we'll arrange to get you into the hot-seat! In the event no one comes forward, it will be up to our current Star to choose next week's victim, er, interviewee. If you're asked to be a Celebrity, but don't want to be one, you may take a pass; likewise, the current Star is free to pass on any questions they are not comfortable with answering.
-Please keep our posting rules in mind, and let's keep this PG-13 or better. And remember, if our current famous person expresses an opinion with which you disagree, please do not give an argument in return. This is an interview, not a debate!
NOTE- If you'd like to read about our previous Stars (they go back several years,) all of the interviews are archived in the Meet Outstanding Users forum, for your reading pleasure!
A few basic facts about Tiger Lilly, our new Star of the Week:
Quote:
Okay, think of one of the most British female names you can think of. No, not Elizabeth, but close. That's my first name
-Age?
28
-Sex/Gender Identity?
Cis Female.
-Relationship status?
Happily living in sin!
-Location (as specific as you are comfortable being)?
Sydney
-Religious beliefs (or lack thereof)?
I know this might sound a little airy-fairy, but I don't see my self as religious, more spiritual.
"Religion is for people who are going to hell, spirituality is for people who've been there"
Either way, yes, I believe in Gods. I identify best with the Norse Gods. But I also try and learn as much as I can from all different types of belief systems. At the moment, I'm reading the Tao Te Ching and find it very beneficial.
-Political leanings?
Left.
I think the state and society have a responsibility to helping individuals elevate themselves. Things like healthcare and education should be free. Not only that, it should be accessible and there should be policies, procedures and systems in place to make those things as accessible as possible.
On the flip side, I think if an individual is relying on the state, that the individual has even more duty to elevate themselves. I have little time for someone who thinks that just because the state can provide, that it should provide.
-Are you a vegetarian, vegan or raw foodist (or something else)?
Lacto-vegetarian. Though, this month I'm not eating dairy either.
-What is the meaning behind your username?
It's the nickname my partner uses for me sometimes
If anyone wants to, Google Search "Tiger Lily Peter Pan"....The picture of her sitting on the rock says it all, ha ha!
-Have you ever met anyone famous?
Yes, quite a few. Mainly musicians, a few politicians and a few sports stars. I did meet Tony Abbott once as well (our current PM).
-Do you live with any companion animals?
Two kittens who are far too big to be called kittens any more.
-Do you live with any companion humans?
My partner.
-Where is your favorite place that you have visited?
Sydney! So I moved here!
-What do you enjoy most about being veg*n?
The cooking. I used to be terrible at cooking. But when I went veg, I found I really had a love for it. It might be the lack of guilt, or all the fun new ways to create things. But the cooking is the most enjoyable thing.
-With whom would you most love to have dinner?
Sarah Kramer. She could do the cooking though
-Do you have any secret talents?
I used to be able to tie a lolly snake in a knot with my tongue. Obviously I can't practise that talent any more.
-What dish/recipe can you make that knocks people's socks off?
Basil pesto. I've finally perfected the vegan version of it, so my partner is pretty pleased. So far, no one else has ever tried my veggie cooking.
-What's your favorite restaurant?
ALL OF THEM! But Mother Chu's is my favourite. First time I tried vegan cooking and loads of good memories there.
-What do you do to cheer yourself up when you're feeling blue?
Eat loads of chocolate and then get a tummy ache.
Or, I cook. Then eat loads of food and get a tummy ache....
-What's your biggest cooking/baking disaster?
I burnt my eyebrows while trying to make garlic bread once. It was horrific.
-What's the one food/product, that you'd love to "veg*nize"?
I think they've all already been veg*nised! But, meringue would probably be the thing I'd try to veganise.
My partner really misses pavlovas and those include meringue (which we can't eat because eggs). So, that's what I would like to veganise.
Oh and the colour red in cosmetics! I would like that to be veganised. Because crushed up bugs just to get the colour red is WACK!
Your questions, please!
