This week's star will be Clueless Git! His interview will run until Nov. 10th.

Please remember a few simple rules:
-Ask only a few questions at a time.
-At the end of the week, the interviewee will pick who gets interviewed next out of those who participated in his/her thread.
-Please don't argue with the interviewee if she/he says something that you disagree with. It's an interview, not a debate.
-The interviewee can decline to answer any question, and anyone chosen to be interviewed can refuse.

Here are some basics to get you started:

Quote:
-Real first name (if you are comfortable sharing): Trevor Millward

-Age: 51 1/2

-Sex/Gender Identity: Yes please!/Male 'King Dong - The Milton Keynes Luuurv machine'

-Relationship status: Happily joined to Happy Hippy at the hip.

-Location (as specific as you are comfortable being); Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, UK.

-Religious beliefs (or lack thereof): Ahimsic; Buddhist, Gandhi-ist

-Political leanings: 'Practical' Anarchist (Anarchist who totaly understands that anarchism is not yet even remotely practical)

-Are you a vegetarian or vegan (or something else)? Vegan.

-What is the meaning behind your username? Literaly it means 'annoying fool'.

-Have you ever met anyone famous? Only at Madame Tussuads

-Do you live with any companion animals? I am unpaid staff to one cat.

-Where is your favorite place that you have visited? Crete was the prettiest but the Seventh Level of Hell (accessible only by invite from a resident) was the most interesting by far.

-What do you enjoy most about being veg*n? Not having the 'obstacle to great compassion' to contend with anymore.

-With whom would you most love to have dinner? Gordon (Vege-f*cking-tarian?? F*CK OFF!!!) Ramsey and the Dali (I do not see any reason why animals should be slaughtered to serve as human diet when there are so many substitutes. After all, man can live without meat ... can I have the veal please?) Lamma. That would be fun

-Do you have any secret talents? Is stupidity a talent? I like to think that I have refined that particular talent into almost an art form by now ..

-What dish/recipe can you make that knocks people's socks off? Well, my special "try this for 'rabbit food' smartass" chili non-carne has had several people strip butt naked in an attempt to cool themselves back down ..

-What do you do to cheer yourself up when you're feeling blue? I simply spend a few brief moment contemplating what a wonderful person I really and truly am.

-What's your biggest cooking/baking disaster? From before I was veg*n; Tandoori-ing a rabbit in attempt to make it look not quite so much like a dead pet.

-What's the one food/product, that you'd love to "veg*nize"? Pancakes and Yorskshire Pudding
Have Fun Everyone!

Do you like to read for pleasure? What do you like to read? (Favorite books/magazines/etc..)

Did you go to college or university, and if so, what did you study there?

For pleasure? NEVER!

I do read books on the original teachings of the Buddha and on Gandhi though.

Two possible answers to that one ...

How do your religious beliefs/interests manifest themselves into real-life practice? (I.e. do you meditate? Are you a member of any groups? etc...)

Not that he's a troll per se, but rather that he's quite masterful at creating reactions and responses in a given debate. *wink* abortion thread *hrm*

Oooo!

I can't even think about that one without my built in karmometer overloading and shutting my brain down Alice.

Well, I used to belong to an online buddhist group Dormouse. I kinda got warned against 'trolling' there though. Specificaly for repeatedly questioning if eating our fellow sentients was actualy compatible with loving compassion towards them in any true sense.

Prior to that I belonged to a multi-faith forum and got a life ban for refusing to drop comparisons twix the predation upon animals by meat eaters and the predation upon children by paedophiles.

Meditation; Not in the sitting cross legged ohm-ing my life away, No. I do spend literaly hours a day contemplating things deeply (it's relative!) though. In some Zen schools of thought that counts as meditation too, btw.

The real life practice question is a biggy; Buddhism has a high emphasis on intention and persistence.

I might have left some evidence of persistency lying around on this forum?

I can only ask of those annoyed by my persistency to understand that the intention behind it is good.

Do I get kicked out of the chili cook club if I admit to using only one?

For the survival of the species I think 'with' is the best.

I just have this notion that amongst the three best things any one can do are; Be a vegan. Be able to make people think. Be able to make people laugh.

Absolutely cool in my niche of the market matey and just to elaborate on that a little ..

My niche is that I pick up second hand vending machines for very little money and fix 'em up. I then put the machines out, free of charge, subject to the client being willing to pay a premium price for the products the machine sell. All revenue is mine. No commissions or royalties to the client.

On average my recoup of intitial costs takes about 3-4 months at worst. After that the machines need maybe 1-2 hours attention per month and, apart from that, they just make me money while I muck around on the forum, play Zombies and sleep.

How do you feel about the royals?
Gah!

A travesty! An abomination! An insult to democracy! An offence against any and all principles that I could possibly give a toss about!

Nothing against them personaly, mind. Wouldn't wish 'em harm or owt. Just remove ALL insititutional position and priveledge from the beggars and let them stand or fall on their merits alone.

To be fair, they do have a 'brand' that, without robbing and plundering by the civil list, should be able to keep 'em all millionaires for generations to come.

How did you become vegan?
Well, on the forum from which I got a life ban, I used to taunt the meat eaters a lot. Would refer to them as MMM's (Muddy Minded Meaters) all ths time and mock the dumbass stuff that meat eaters come up with as being due to the the meat they eat having 'muddied' their minds. Made quite a bit of play on the theme that in certain aspects of thinking that ditching the meat is often reported by veg-heads to have improved their clarity of mind.

Anyways .. Forum had one very intelligent vegan who suggested to me that ditching all animals products provides about the same increase in clarity of thinking again. Tried it. Never went back.

The 'clarity boost', I have come to believe, is what the Buddha was talking of when he said "Meat is the obstacle to great compassion", btw.

Not so much that anything is added to the mind. More that something (self interest) which impedes the mind from thinking clearly on compassionate matters is simply taken away.

How heavy are those bars before you put on the weights?

About that much is the answer.

A voice in a dream told me that Jesus is bringing the second coming forward, by a millenia or two, so as he can audition for the role.

Donald Duck. Just to piss people off.

Devil Gate Drive by Suzi Quatro, I think.

Can't remember exactly ...

Definitely it had 'Two little boys" by Rolf Harris on it though.

The shame! The shame!

Never had one!

First CD?
The man who sold the world by David Bowie

Is the correct answer Basildon and his wife Brooke?

(Hopefully another Brit here old enough to get that one ..)

'Bollox' as in "oh bollox! How long it will be till someone asks me how many pairs of socks do I own ..."
