Hi, has anyone heard of the fast food veggie/vegan place called V-1? I just discovered it on the internet, but its only in nottingham at the moment. I really want them to come to liverpool!!! Is there anyone on this board in the uk who have been to v-1?<br><br><br><br>

I just learned that Kalamazoo, Michigan has a vegan fast food restaurant called Ope's. Their website is <a href="http://www.opes.biz/" target="_blank">http://www.opes.biz/</a><br><br><br><br>
PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) is listing them as their featured restaurant of the month at <a href="http://www.peta.org/liv/eats/" target="_blank">http://www.peta.org/liv/eats/</a> so that's how I heard about them.<br><br><br><br>
I'll definetely have to stop by and check them out during my next road trip into Michigan!

I used to go to Nottingham a lot. I used to have the phone numbers of a few phone booths in nottingham so I could prank call them as well. But those days are over, so I doubt I'll be going there anytime soon, but if I'm in Nottingham, I'll be sure to stop by.<br><br><br><br>
Oh yeah, if any of you visit Blackpool, we don't have any vegetarian restaurants around here. So i'm pretty jealous at all of you who live in or around Nottingham. That and all the Robin Hood stuff!

You can actually call phone booths? I always thought that was just in the movies! Are the phone booths really red with little glass doors in England?

Yup, we do have some of the red phone booths, though they are dying out. In Hull, these phone booths are a creamy white colour.<br><br><br><br>
And you can call phone booths. I do it quite a bit for pranks, although i haven't done it in at least 18 months.

Just saw this and thought that I could resurect the thread by mentioning that I live in Nottingham!<br><br><br><br>
V1 is still going, it is a great place, run by a vegan so most items are either vegan or easily adapted and they understand the reasons and so they don't ask difficult questions and you don't have to explain. In fact they even have leaflets explaining what veganism means, and which products are vegan!<br><br><br><br>
It has been there for a while now and always seems to have decent numbers of people eating there <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/smiley.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="">
