Some of you may remember a while back I made a thread on how supermarkets use battery eggs in their products i.e. cakes, pastas, quiches, etc. Well, I wrote a polite letter and sent some graphic photos and my petition with 150 signatures to Waitrose (my employer) and asked them why we should not use free range eggs across the entire product range. The lady from customer services phoned me the next day and it turns out we DO only use free range eggs anyway, it's just not labelled on all the products! YAY!

So now I'm planning to send the letter to Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Asda, Tesco, Mr Kipling cakes, etc, to try and pressue them into switching to free range. I don't know whether they'll reply or not, but they can't fail to be shocked by the pictures.

So just to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who posted in the thread and signed the petition! You guys are awesome!

That's great!

It would be even better if they started labelling their products as made with free range eggs.
