I ate a dusgisting amount of cookies today!

Every so often, I'd hear about women who'd eat a whole box of cookies or something and think "How could they do that?" Now, I totally get it.

I made vegan oatmeal walnut chocolate chip cookies this morning from a vegan cookbook. I halved the recipie, intending to make about 18. I mixed the dough, put about 10 on the cookie sheet (all that would fit) and put them in the oven to cook. I thought "well, I could make the rest of the cookies when those get out of the oven, or I can just eat the rest of the dough, it is pretty good!" I chose the latter option and ate the rest of the dough straight from the mixing bowl with a spoon. It was damn good (much better than the cookies, actually!)

Throughout the day, I've eaten all but two of the 10 cookies, plus the dough, which was probably the equivalent of about 8 cookies. In other words, about 16 cookies over about 12 hours.

My stomach hurts and I feel disgusting. Aside from Halloween night when I was 10 or so, I never eat like this. Sure, sometimes I end up having 3 tofutti cuties instead of 1, but I never eat like this. I made some cookies, ate the rest of the dough, ate a few cookies when they cooled, went shopping for a few hours, came home, ate a few more cookies, went to work, came home, ate dinner with a few more cookies. Now I suddenly have 2 left!

Ugh. I feel like I need to detox.

This post is too long and pretty much pointless, sorry.

There's nothing wrong with you. So you had a pig out, it sounds like it's not something you do very often. Lots of people have occasional pig outs. As long as you don't do it every day I can't see any big problem.

If you have indigestion I've heard the bicarb can be a good cure for that.

I used love to eat whole giant packets of cheap biscuits. It is always good to pig out and as my birthday is tommorow I'm going to buy lots of crap including cheese spread and crackers and pig out big time. I will also have peppermint tea incase my tummy rebels against my head.

Love food, never feel guilty over it. (as long as it at least vegan hehe)

Look at it this way, you feel awful, and it'll be a long time before you do it again, and you won't make it a habit. Those are the good things. Give yourself time to digest all the cookies before you eat something else, though.

Vegan cookie recipes should have a mandatory warning at the top: "Warning, warning! While this recipe will not kill you with Salmonella, your stomach might explode if you consume too much raw cookie dough!!!"

I love vegan cookie dough. I love vegan cookies. I don't make them very often!!!

I don't even LIKE cookies and I can never control myself around cookie dough...haha. Don't stress - it does happen to everyone, and tomorrow you'll probably be in the mood for nice, fresh food, so enjoy a big salad or something!

I've totally done this too Tymps. Not so much with cookie dough, but with tons of other foods. I wouldn't go as far to say that I have a binge eating disorder, but I've definitely binged and then felt sick and guility over it.

This is one of the reasons I try not to bake. I bought Vegan cupcakes take over the world, but I'm waiting until I have a special occasion before I make any, or they will all end up in my tummy.

BTW- I added a warning to your thread title, because we do have lots of people reading the boards who do suffer from eating disorders, and we just like them to have a warning so they can avoid the thread if they don't want to be exposed to a trigger.

Thanks everyone. I was freaking out a little last night, but I feel fine now. I've been eating really healthy today, needless to say.

Synergy, I didn't think that my post might trigger someone. Thank you for putting the warning up.
