I am going grocery shopping later today and want to do some cooking. Two areas I would like suggestions in:

1) I have a block of tofu I want to use. I have not had much luck with tofu in the past and I want an easy but really good tofu recipe for either a baked tofu type of dish or a stir-fry that is really flavorful.

2) It is a long weekend and everything will be closed tomorrow. I plan to tuck in at home with some dvds. I want to make something in the slow cooker. I am totally open to whatever it is and would like to make something warm and tasty and comfort food where I will have leftovers to pack in my thermos for work on Tuesday.

So, any suggestions? As I said, I will be going to the store later so I can pick up anything I need. I like simple recipes without a lot of ingredients because I am on a budget and do not have a lot of storage space.

For question 1, try this recipe for tofu nuggets in peanut sauce here. It's delicious. Can't help with the other I'm afraid.
