My husband and I are going camping soon and I'd like to take some homemade veggie burgers with us to cook on the grill. Last year I made the mistake of taking some prepackged burgers with the intention of cooking them the night we arrived. Of course, they were mushy goo once we got to the campsite (I should have known, they are all meant to be heated up from a frozen state ). Does anyone have any good recipes for burgers that we could take? We're not big fans of burgers that actually taste like meat, Amy's California burgers and Wild Oats store brand vegan burgers are favorites. Thanks.

i, unfortunately, do not have a recipe, but i've found in the stores a wildwood brand of veggie burger that's very tasty, does not taste anything like meat, and is not frozen. look for it where the tofu and other meat subs are sometimes.. i don't remember which store, but i think wild oats had some.. www.wildwoodnaturalfoods.com is their website
