Anyone have any luck traveling with their Thanksgiving food? I'll be traveling almost 2 hours to my dh family for Thanksgiving. I was trying to come up with a way to carry a meal with us. Has anyone use those 13 x9 casserole covers? I was thinking I could put stuffing, potatoes and "turkey" in there and it would still be warm right?

I would cook everything completely then cool in the fridge and pack in a cooler with cold packs and reheat when I got to your families' house. Just to be on the safe side.

I've used those 9 X 13 casserole dishes with an insulated/quilted cover/wrap thingy.Put the baked (HOT from the oven) casserole in it and then wrap in the insulated cover and THEN wrap several thick large bath towels around the whole thing...

Food stays VERY warm for several hours...

Do they not have an oven to re-heat things in?
