WILD AT HEART: Volunteers Needed for 'Chained Dog' Demo!
This weekend Wild At Heart is holding a 'chained dog' demonstration to ask people to unchain their dogs and bring them inside this winter. One of our activists will be chained to a lamp post to pose the question: if you wouldn't
chain a human, why would you chain a dog?
We'll be starting at 9:30am on Saturday and going to 8:00pm on Sunday.
Since the demo is so long, we are asking people to come out for 90 minute shifts to leaflet starting at 9:30 am, then 11, then 12:30, etc, etc, until 8:00pm on Saturday. We're starting again with shifts at 9:00am on Sunday. If you would like to volunteer to leaflet to the passerby for any of the shifts throughout the day, please contact us and let us know so we can sign you up. You can take as many shifts as you like. You can also show up anytime throughout the weekend as we'll be there for 36 straight hours.
We are currently looking for people to do free security throughout Saturday
night, after 8:00pm. If you are able to provide this service, please contact us
as soon as possible and let us know.
A chained dog can only watch as life goes by. Help us spread the message.

Please we need people to leaflet and hold signs, our activist will be chained to a post by herself and needs people there to support her by leafletting and holding signs. This is a relatively easy demo because most people are usually less defensive when it comes to companion animals and YOU are not required to do anything more than hand out leaflets.
