Danakscully64, I hope you don't mind me stealing your addiction title, but I really love Top Ramen.

I've only had the Oriental but I want to try the Chili flavor when I go to Stater Brothers again because it was sold out last time. I like it just plain as the soup, but I also like to drain the noodles, then fry in some Earth Balance or soy sauce and add a bit of the seasoning. Sometimes I fry without the packet of flavor and add season salt and garlic salt instead. I like adding the soup-less noodles to stir-fries, or adding Morningstar chik'n strips to it, but I haven't yet gotten more adventurous than that.
I usually eat it just as like a snack or second lunch unless I add something to it or use it as a side. I've heard of adding a cracked egg to it while the water boils, but I'm not fond of eggs so I've never had it. I've also heard of adding veggies like peas and carrots.

I am right there with you.....I love ramen both the oriental and chili flavor.....sometimes I eat it as soup....other times I drain the water out and add ICBINB and garlic or my homemade or jarred pasta sauce or other seasonings and veggies......sometimes the butter and cheese flaviorings ect.....I use the noodles in stir fries and other yummy dishes......I always keep it stocked in my stockpile and there are only certain stores here that carry the kinds I can eat.....so when I find it I buy cases of it just so I know its there in my stockpile......I havent ever heard of the egg thing.....thankies for the heads up......

Peace

yeah.....its high in calories and salt but so are alot of foods.... I eat it in moderation like everything else and its peachy keen for me.....but since I have dealt with eating disorders my whole life I dont calorie count that much.....I just eat a little bit or a few bites of everything and I am fine.

Peace

I forgot to post that the only store that has it around here restocked the chili flavor so I bough some to try. I'll probably try it just normal as a soup later today, I like top ramen as a linner when I get home from school

I ate too much of the stuff in college.

I ate it off and on for a while (after college) but I haven't eaten it in years as I always kinda felt blah after eating it. I've also been consciously cutting the sodium way back for the last few months and am losing my taste for overly salty foods.

I didn't have any Chili packets so I put Sriracha in my Oriental soup with sweet peas and white corn a few weeks ago. I am here to report it was awesome.

Your Top Ramen dishes looks so pretty Dana, I break my noodles up.

(Don't panic, I picked up more Chili flavored.)

Danakscully is egg drop soup like eggflower soup? I miss eggflower soup so much! I used to get it from panda express but I think it was discontinued years ago.

I forgot to add that I finally tried the chili flavor yesterday! It was sooo spicy, I had to keep stopping while I was eating it because it was too spicy, but it was good, too, and I was in the mood for spicy food, but I don't think I'll be eating it as much as oriental because I have to really be in the mood for super spicy stuff.

Hell yeah! It was even a couple cents cheaper for the store brand ones. My friends would give me their empty soda bottles so I could return them for the 10 cent deposit to buy myself dinner for the night. Ramen is the cheapest meal ever!
