feel free to move if in wrong place.

How much peanut butter is too much?
I love the stuff and could eat it all the time, but i try to make a 340g jar last about 10 days if I can- although I would love a whole jar a week at least.
I am an average height guy, my weight is fine (although i would like to lose a bit of fat) . The peanut butter in question is of course the fine organic stuff from the good people of "Suma".

I don't really know where I am going with this, I guess I just want your opinions, how much of it you eat, whether I can get away with eating more of it (I have a healthy veg diet with occasional treats), and which nut butters are good alternatives.

I adore peanut butter! I also love almond butter. It doesn't sound to me (I'm not a diet expert at all) that you are eating too much if your jar lasts 10 days (I'm assuming it's a regular size jar of PB). But all nut butters have high fat content, so you may want to try to spread out how much you eat by putting it on banana slices or celery sticks rather than just eat it on bread or by the spoonful out of the jar.

I think you'll be fine so long as you're...
- not gaining weight (high fat content of peanut butter)
- using clean, high quality peanut butter (no aflatoxin)
- not substituting PB for other healthy foods (in other words, so long as you're still eating other legumes, fruits, and veggies)

If you exercise regularly, you can probably eat that much without trouble. But if you're sedentary then it's probably too much.

Peanut butter and cucumber sandwiches are quite a nice snack, although i haven't eaten one for quite a few years. Peanut butter does have an odour of smelly socks, well, at least to me, anyway.

I spoon it from the jar sometimes, but my preference is to spread a thick coat of peanut butter evenly on the surface of my bowl, then add cereal and milk on top of it so every spoon full of cereal has a glob of peanut butter. I probably go through a jar per week when I'm in the mood for it, a mood which usually lasts about a month before I temporarily move on to something else

I like my peanut butter on a spoon with a few chocolate chips stuck on top.

I have never thought of eating it in cereal.
I don't know that I would like a glob of PB on my spoon, but I may have to try it to be sure.

I love peanut butter but I do try to limit my intake to about once or twice a week due to fat content. I try to focus on what I consider healthier food options (lgreens, fruits, etc), so I eat it is a treat. My favorite is on top of waffles with strawberries and agave, normally for breakfast on the weekend.

1. I eat it a lot too. As far as judging if it's too much, ElaineV wrote it best.
2. Cashew butter is also awesome, try it!
3. Everyone needs to mix a spoonful in with their oatmeal. It is awesome and an amazing power breakfast if you have a tough workout/long hike/etc planned for the day.

I do not eat it as much as I use it for baking or cooking.

I do like it on bananas or bread sometimes for breakfast.

I've got a friend who does amateur Thai boxing who goes through peanut butter like an addict (more than two jars per week). He's been doing this for a long, long time, and is still in great shape. Granted, he expends a lot of energy regularly, but there you have it

Mix protein powder, raw rolled oats, pb, soy milk and some sweetening and you're in for heck of a meal.
