I finally melted tofutti slices on nachos, it was interesting. It wasn't bad but not great but good if that makes sense? I need to adjust but I can grow to like it

The shocker? Even my husband who HATES it cold liked it melted and would adjust. Even though he isn't vegan he is vegetarian only eats dairy when out and even now that is making him feel sick

I'll have to mail order it, so I won't get to try it for a few weeks. Thank you for the heads up!

I wish they made more non-hydrogenated varieties, though.
I like b.t.c.c as a base for a dip, adding corn relish etc, so yummy!!!

It tastes like cream cheese when it's in a vegan cheesecake!

Everyone go out, buy some Tofutti cream cheese, and make this right now:

I don't care that it's the middle of the night. This stuff is worth it. Bust down the doors to your supermarkets!

I bought some Mozzarella and Cheddar Tofutti slices last week for the first time. I haven't used the Cheddar ones yet, but the Mozzarella ones I thought were just OK cold, but REALLY good melted on a vegan burger. The smell of it melting though is really strong, almost like a blue cheese. I love it, but my wife hates the smell. I have to say they are better than any processed dairy slices that I have had. I will report back in a few days when i have tried the cheddar ones.
