yerrrrrrrmmmmyyyy! i love tofu too.

here's what i do to most of my extra-firm tofu:

heat a pan on high.

add 4 tbsp soy sauce. when it starts to bubble, add 1 lb chopped (either into strips or cubes) extra firm tofu and toss constantly over high heat until the soy sauce is absorbed and the tofu takes on a deep rich brown colour and dry textures.

eat!

Soft Tofu??? okay so all the power was out in my city practically and no stores hardly were open. I needed food. The only open store had bad selections of food and no firm tofu like I am used to. What can I do with soft tofu?

i used to mix it half and half with peanut butter and spread it on bagels, add sliced fresh strawberries or jam/jelly of your choice and yummm. it's a rather high-energy breakfast

Every attempt at preparing tofu has ended in me going to Taco Bell. The most discouraging thing is that it usually takes hours to prepare only to get thrown out after the first hideous bite.

The best tofu I've had is at a local restaurant called Pei Wei. I want to get a parttime job there to find out what the heck they do to it.

I like tofu and eat it most days. I eat it: in Mapo Tofu, with tomato and onion sauce, in guava-tofu soup, in miso soup and in vegetable-tofu soup. Sometimes I eat it fried with dipping sauce.

Why sure! You don't have to choose between tofu and falafel.....you can embrace them both!

I do

I have never had good tofu. All I can say about the tofu I have tried has been yucky. Wait, I have had a thing called tofuna from the local hfs, but I am not sure if it is vegan. Anyone have convincing recipes? I have a frozen thing of tofu in the freezer that needs to get used.

Abbie, who isn't a tofu person at the moment.
