Hey All,

Just joined after surfing the web looking for some info about my insatiable salt cravings. Already found a lot of good info on here!

I was vegetarian from 16-18, then suddenly began eating meat again. Almost 5 years ago I went veg again, and am happily sticking to it. Lots of factors play into it for me: health, treatment of animals, and environmental and spiritual issues.

I don't really know the best term for me- I've been told by many that "total vegetarian" works. But I avoid milk products as much as possible (cheese is a serious downfall for me), and do not eat any other animal byproducts.

Biggest reason for being here? The aforementioned research on nutrients I might be overlooking. I've been trying to spend more time focusing on what my body is craving and giving it what it asks for.

Nice to meet you all and I look forward to sharing ideas, tips, recipes, etc.
