I just recently had my first PP AF and so got to try my keeper for the first time.

I actually had to model two classes back to back the first day and so was very glad I didn't have any problems...

After day one however I had leaks, leaks, and leaks...

I even emailed the company and haven't yet heard a response (2 weeks later)

This product came to me highly reccomendend and I really like the idea of less space and less waste... but can we be less messy?!?!

Is it just me?

I've never used the Keeper, but I have a Diva Cup.

These might not apply, as, like I said, I've never used it; but what I notice is that my Diva Cup will leak if any of the little breathing holes at the top are clogged. I use a big paper clip and make sure they're all clear. And it also leaks if it's the slightest bit un-opened. When I put it in, I twist it around and around like a million times, then push it up a little, then pull it down, push it back up, and just kind of play around with it until I feel it's open and it's suctioned in pretty good. I usually don't have a problem with it as long as I do those two things; make sure the holes are cleared out for the suction, and make sure it's fully open.

I also notice on days where I apparently didn't do one of those things, and it leaks a little, after my first toilet-trip after putting it in, it stops leaking. It's something about the muscles pushing it down while pushing to pee, then suctioning it back up that seals it. I don't know. But that's what got me pushin and pulling on it when I put it in, too. It seems to work.

thanks Jessica,

I did notice that the little breathing holes at the top did seem clogged pretty often. I'm also going to try to double check the suction... hopefully I'll be able to go about with my businees clothed or not without worries this coming month.

thanks again

Yeah, it's frustrating. Before I discovered the paper-clip trick to cleaning out the holes, I stopped using my diva cup for lilke 6 months and went back to tampons because it suddenly started leaking all the time.

Sometimes I use a panty liner when I first put the diva cup in, if I cant afford to have a leak (i.e. at work) then once I get through a pee trip without any leakage, I'm know I'm safe until I empty it that night before bed.

Let me also add that I've had mine for over 2 years. I think all the bending and folding loosens the shape a bit over time, and might make it more prone to leakage. That wouldn't be the issue for you right now though, obviously.

Good luck!

hmmm... I was actually thinking that it would mold to my cervix's shape a little more over time and be less leaky...

I really don't care when I'm wandering around the house, chasing my rugrat, or even working at the coffeehouse, but when I have my once a week stint as a figure model... uhhh... that's when I really don't want it to leak...

I guess I'll have to buy one more box of dry wads of cotton for those ocassions until I get the ins and outs of this thing figured out.
