The mink cheerfully explains to the chicken that he gets fed a steady diet of dead chickens, the chicken says she's happy except she doesn't like it when her eggs are taken away and "it's a bit crowded" (yes... a bit... battery cages are funny like that,) and the cow has a wonderful life except for that pesky wake up call to be milked.

And this is all "respecting their natural life cycle."

What could be more natural than being fed slop through the bars of your cold steel cage, or being anally electrocuted to be turned into a coat? Just like nature.

After I watched this video, I really thought it would be posted on a site that advocates veg*nism instead of promote the consumption of meat! But then, I suppose for people who have absolutely no empathy for animals, they might find the clip funny.

I've read about those in a conservation class, and I think it's disgusting that they put those pieces of metal on their feet to encourage hunters to kill even more animals and to target specific ones like that.

I have to dissagree with you guys on the band statement. Yes, it is sickening that hunters where them around their necks a if they are trophies, but it helps scientists learn more about the birds to see where they traveled, how old they live to be etc. etc. so they can help conserve them and help even more to protect them. They are much more humane than other forms of gathering data, suck as tracking devices, which require the animal to have something poked into them. Also, these bands are on many more birds than just ducks.

I did have a bit of a chuckle when I saw this on the opening page of VB. It said Veg and Animal Rights in the News The Fur Industry has LOST and I couldn't help but chuckle that they lost.
