Howdy

I'm Jengle. A 30 (as of Sunday) year old single mom. My kiddo is 4. I'm a newbie veggie. I never was a big meat eater but as I learn more about the world around me I am in turn learning more about myself and feeling more confident in my beliefs. It was a natural move into vegetarianism for me.

My daughter was a born vegetarian. She never liked the meaty baby food stuff and at the age of 3, after being offered a beef nacho, proclaimed to my sister-in-law "I don't eat cow," very matter-of-factly.

I also quilt, love to read, hike, and love art (all kinds!).

This forum seemed like an awesome group of people to relate to and learn from. I hope to meet some new friends!

See ya! ~ Jengle

Thanks everyone

Epski ~ I reside in Dallas, Texas right now. Lived "up north" in Virginia, Washington DC, and Maryland for a little while but moved back here to be close to Sophie's dad's family.

I like it here but out in the Texas hill country (Austin and such) is where it's truely beautiful.

Hey Jengle (thats Howdy in Washington state);

I also love reading but need a rainy day camping to find the time any more. I've back off of LD hiking because of injury but still day hike every chance I get and if that day hiking is slow and contemplative between different pieces at an art show I can be quite content. While I do like quilts I do not find joy making them. I used to spend loads of time with embroidery but I ended up with piles of colorful pieces that were never finished as in framed or added to the quilt they were intended for or crocheted on the edges so I finally quit.

You are right about the people here and will find that you have met some of the most awesome and interesting of the bunch right here but keep posting, there is more good mind candy to come.
