Where to begin?? hmmm... I just recently discovered this site. I am not a vegan or a vegetarian, however, I have been considering making that transition a reality.<br><br><br><br>
I guess most of you started where I am... at some point. My main reason is simply to make healthier food choices. At present, meat is more of a condiment than the main course. I'd like to start by making small changes that I can live with. I don't want to feel overwhelmed and go back to doing what I've always known and lived with. Any suggestions are welcome.<br><br><br><br>
There is alot of information on this site that is very enlightening. Some topics, that I have read here, I never even stopped to consider. I find you all to be a very interesting and intelligent group of people. I hope to get to know you all better.<br><br><br><br>

Hope to get to know you to, and my first suggestion is to have a veggie burger to replace the meat.

Thank you for the welcome and the advice 1vegan. It's been awhile since I've had a veggie burger. There are alot more choices now than there used to be. I'll have to try a few different ones and see what I like.

Thank you for that link Birdlady. I found the guide to food servings very helpful. I've been adding nuts (almonds, walnuts, and pecans) to oatmeal, pancakes, cereals (hot or cold), etc. to breakfast in the mornings for protein. I don't eat bacon, sausage, or ham at breakfast any more. It has been awhile and I don't miss it at all. I want for this to be a lifestyle change. I probably should have posted this elsewhere. I just wanted to say thank you for that link though.<br><br><br><br>
