i read the first 2 pages- (in a rush) its interesting to know what people think and feel about it, even though they seem to be a pretty random lot, lol. i suddenly find myself appreciating how easy to read and coherant posts are on here seem to be, compared to those on that link.

One thing I think would be interesting is to talk to some intelligent meat-eaters (on another board, not here -- read our TOS in the community forum) who are truly familiar with the ethical reasons for veganism, aren't sitting on a hostile hot poker, but have concluded in some logically valid way that eating meat is ethical/does not have to hurt the Earth. I have yet to see one such person, even. A thread where those people are would be interesting.

^^^ People who say things like that, need to learn the word "omnivore". Why is the concept so difficult for some people to grasp. If you eat meat, even in small quantities, even in small quantities of fish or chicken, you are an omnivore. Period. If you eat pieces of ANY ANIMAL, be it mammal, bird, fish, reptile, insect, amphibian, any animal, you are an omnivore, NOT a vegetarian.<br><br><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/wall.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":wall:">

the people on that particular forum all seem like semi-literate, naive (omni)idiots. not even the most liberal vegetarian eats meat. mabye they should learn their facts before they rant at those who eat a better diet than them.

Arguing over personal food choices seems weird to me in any case, but I guess it's something people like to do. I can understand it from an animal rights or welfare standpoint, but not from a dietary standpoint really. Who cares what other people eat? Weird.
