The Accidental Sisterhood focuses on pelvic and vaginal flood exercises to prevent incontinence from the inside. They're known as Kegel exercises, and the FAM thread reminded me. The two basic exercises are the long hold and a series of quick flicks.

The website doesn't go into much detail because they're trying to sell their book, but if anyone wants it, I ended up with an extra copy.

you might also be interested in descriptions of mula bandha from yoga. it is, essentially, the kegel exercise.

and yes, it is awesome. it's most common to do very long holds of this when doing yoga asana--such as the whole time you're practicing. so, for me, that's anywhere from 15 mintues to 3 hours depending upon where i am, what i'm doing, and how much time i have.

so, i have serious pelvic muscles.
