Hi all, I just read Beefaroni's post about her nickname which inspired me for this thread what are your wierd nicknames. I'll go first: Rosebud because my middle name is Rose and also that line from 'Citzen Kane', Tootsie, I think it was from some Judy Bloom book and I saved the best for last: Tuna Girl, I have absolutly no idea where that came from as I have never eaten tuna even before going veggie. So those are mine, what are yours? (I just liked that icon)

Not really weird, but...

My mother used to call me Bubbles. She said (very innocently) that it was because I drooled a lot as a baby, but she kept on calling me that as I got older, and I finally asked her to please STOP.

Jennivere (given by one friend after we discovered that the name Jennifer is derived from the name Guinevere)

Garcia (by an old boyfriend and a couple of friends, for my love of Cherry Garcia ice cream)

Number One (from my dad, representing my first born status)

More recently, I've come to enjoy "sugar bunny".

I'm also known as Benny the Groins, Sammy the Snoz, Elmer the Fudd, Tubby the Tuba, and once as Miss Fillis Lavine, but that was at a party, it was years ago, I smoked a te-te-bet and I had a quc-ca-lude and suddenly, I'm in fishnets and singing show tunes. These things happen, but it has nothing to do with what I'm here with you fine gentlemen today so I apologize. That being said, I am also known to the people who know me the best, as the ****ing doctor.

my friend Ashley used to call me Fluffy. Well, she still calls me that sometimes, lol. I'd gotten a perm in grade 2, and when I met her in grade 4 it was still in my hair...my hair was pretty poofy and frizzy because of it so I usually put it up into a poofy/fluffy looking ponytail.

My wife calls me Hubby, Hubbyman or Sweetie Guy.

A former girlfriend used to call me HLM (an abbreviation from the private times, she was HB.) We also called each other Greeble and Drooble. It was more of an affectionate "I'm thinking of you" call out when we were in the same vicinity but doing different things is different areas.

My dad used to call me half pint (like the dad called Laura Ingalls on Little House on the Prairie) and Chaunky Chaunk.( the sound you make when you put a child on your leg and pretend it's a horse by bouncing your leg up and down)

My husband calls me Little red (short for Little red riding hood) and hedgehog because my hair is short and spiky (and red) or my little hedgie or ma petit herrison (french for my little hedgehog) or Spidergrrl.

As a child I was called the electric flea because I was very tiny and very busy. I got called molly (short for Molly Ringwald) in high school because I had red hair and dressed like she did in Pretty in Pink.

That's probably it. Well my mother calls me you little sh*t but only as a joke if I am getting to do something neat in England that she wishes she was doing.

Waaaaaay back in elementary school, I was called Poodle and Springs because of my hair. I had an afro in high school and was dubbed Afro Queen by a guy I had a crush on who treated me like crap. In my late teens, a guy I dated briefly called me Magnolia (I have no idea what prompted him to do so).

My nicknames are lame, and always based on my name. (that rhymed!)

I had one friend that called me "Brand" which I allowed because she was a good friend and it was sorta endearing. Generally, everyone I know IRL calls me "B" a lot, usually w/o me telling them that it's okay or anything. I have a few VB'ers that call me "B" too. I don't mind it, and usually will sign emails that way so I guess it's stuck.

(My sister has a special nickname for me but there's no way I'm putting it here because I know I wouldn't hear the end of it.)

my mum called me flea, my dad calls me boo, and my sis called me sararie (a mix of sarah and marie) when she started to learn peoples names but couldn't quite get them all out.

our daughter's nickname is woo. I gave that to her..it just happened bc I always used to say "woo woo look at you!"

I think the funny nickname is the one I gave my mum. years ago I got tired of yelling "mom" in the store and having eighty ladies turn around..so I started yelling "hey lady" and, as odd as it still is to me, she is still the only one who will turn around or call out.

My mom calls me Celery Belery because my initials are CEL. She also calls me Miffy, after the cartoon/book character. Also bunny hugger. Mayuko calls me Destroyer of Worlds. Another girl I know calls me Hatchet because she thinks I look like an axe murderer.
