Taco Seasoning mix<br><br>
Category: Condiments, Dressings, Spreads<br><br><br><br>
Suitable for a: vegan diet<br><br><br><br><br><br>
1/4 c instant dry onion<br><br>
2 T salt<br><br>
2 T chili powder<br><br>
1 T cornstarch<br><br>
1 T crushed dried red pepper<br><br>
1 T dried oregano<br><br>
1 T ground cumin<br><br>
1 T dried minced garlic<br><br><br><br><br><br>
Mix all, store in airtight container.<br><br><br><br>
*for beans: cook beans through, adding 2T seasoning for every cup dry beans (or every can pre-cooked), in the last hour of cooking (crock pot, or last 15-20m on stovetop)<br><br><br><br>
*for mexican rice: add 2T to 1.5c dry rice and 3c water with a little oil or butter/margerine. Bring to boil, cover, turn heat to low, and cook as usual.<br><br><br><br><br><br>
