I used to love Rice Dream and the Cookies and Dream Rice Dream ice cream stuff. I have been buying the Soy Delicious and Turtle Mountain stuff lately. I just bought a thing of Cookies & Dream and now it SUCKS! I think the soy products are kicking the rice stuff's arse!

Why would it suddenly taste horrible (bland, funky aftertaste).

It really sucks because I am craving something sweet and that is all I have...

Soy rules. Soy Cream is a new one I tried recently - mint chocolate chip - and it was hella good.

I find Rice Dream nasty. The Soy Delicious is passable. I'll eat it if there is nothing else in the store, sort of deal.

Several flavors of Soy Delicious are good, but I got burned out on it, and tend to bake vegan stuff at home these days. But I was out with a friend the other night, and we picked up a pint of the Soy Cream at Wild Oats, and it was amazing. I felt like I was back in my pre-vegan days eating premium ice cream. It's that smooth.

Which flavours do you like? I only tried vanilla and chocolate. The vanilla is passable - with some syrup and nuts, I think I could eat happily. The chocolate was revolting.

Umm.. that's because soy delicious tastes so much better.

Yesterday I picked up some new stuff from Wild Oats. It's like a dairy-less frozen yogurt ("Whole Soy Cultured Soy"). The Black Cherry is yummy, but the Strawberry's a bit nasty. The texture's amazing, though -- very ice-cream like (I think. It's been a while since I had real ice cream).

The rice dream is different ... I like it but it's not a smooth "icecream-like" thing. But I like it for it's more icy texture (hmm, hard to describe stuff really)

I like all the soy delicious flavors. I lurrrrve the PB & Chocolate. I like it partially melted - reminds me of the mousse (sp?) that I used to get as a kid in France and England. I never liked ice cream much, so the point of reference may affect my tastes compared to those who are looking for an ice cream substitute.

yeah, Rice dream is really gross. Soy Delicious is the best - especially the purely decadent line (I like the vanilla and peanut butter zigzag).

I think that was in response to me and the Soy Delicious. Make sure you get the Purely Decadent line, not the fruit-sweetened crap.

Pints I like:

Chocolate Brownie Almond (favorite)

Peanut Butter Zig Zag (second fave)

Praline Pecan (third fave)

Cookie Avalanche (delicious w/choc syrup)

Chunky Mint Madness (delicious w/choc syrup)

Organic quarts I like:

Chocolate Peanut Butter

Mint Marble Fudge

I have to say I don't like the quarts quite as much, but the choc pb is pretty good. I wish the pint flavors were available in quart sizes, but it's probably for the best that they're not. Otherwise, I'd be REALLY gaining some weight around my gut.

Here's where it gets really tempting, though (these are un-fricking-believably good), in rough order of preference:

Mint Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwich

Cool mint flavored non-dairy frozen dessert between two organic double chocolate chip cookies.

Mocha Mania Cookie Sandwich

A rich and creamy coffee flavored non-dairy dessert is sandwiched between two crispy oatmeal cookies and coated in a rich dark chocolate.

Vanilla & Almonds

Creamy vanilla non-dairy frozen dessert stick bar covered with a crisp layer of chocolate and roasted almond pieces.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwich

Creamy vanilla non-dairy frozen dessert sandwiched between two organic chocolate chip cookies.

Mint Mania Cookie Sandwich

A rich and creamy mint flavored non-dairy dessert is sandwiched between two super chocolaty cookies and coated in a rich dark chocolate.

Creamy Fudge Bar

Rich and creamy non-dairy fudge bar made with organic ingredients.

Big Buddy Wafer Sandwich

Creamy non-dairy frozen vanilla dessert sandwiched between two extra thick chocolate wafers.

Vanilla Cookie Sandwich

America's favorite vanilla flavored non-dairy dessert sandwiched between two crispy oatmeal cookies and coated in a rich dark chocolate.

Creamy Vanilla Bar

Creamy vanilla non-dairy frozen dessert stick bar covered with a crisp layer of chocolate.

Just wondering if anyone else has tried Oatscreme? I really like it, but it's not nearly as good as the soy ice creams. Oatscreme is much lower in calories and sugar I believe.

My girlfriend and I get the Soy Dream Lil' Dreamers constantly. Once we got the Soy Delicious Lil' Buddies because they were on sale, and they were horrible. They also seem to have a lower freezing temperature, because whenever we'd take them out of the freezer they'd already seem melted.

Fenguin, I've never seen that happen to a Lil' Buddy. They're not as good as everything else I listed from that company, but I found them surprisingly good for something so plain.

To me Soy Delicious has a very strange feel in my mouth. My favorite is Soy Dream. I've only had their green tea, mint chocolate chip, and butter pecan but they're amazing. The best I tell ya, the best.

Wow- we don't have nearly that variety in Alaska... I'm jealous. I think I'm going to sell my stuff and drive back to California.... Anyhow....

I ended up forcing myself to eat it....(I REALLY wanted something sweet). After a few dozen bites, it started tasting better....and my parrot loved it.

I think I just spoiled myself on the latest (well, latest in Alaska anyway) soy ice creams. Texture does have a lot to do with it, I suppose. Sweetness, too.

I LOVE the Soy Delicious Almond Pecan.

I also love Tofutti Too-toos (the cookie ice cream sandwich thingees).

That is really all I get. I'm not big on sweets.... I just get a craving occassionally.
