Is this a response to Steve Irwin's death? Can people be so stupid? <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/mad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=""> What's killing all the stingrays really going to do? I think they're gorgeous and majestic creatures.<br><br><br><br>

Wow, people will kill just about anything for just about any reason, won't they? The irony of it all is so depressing. A man who dedicates his life to the support and protection of wildlife is killed, in a freak accident, by an animal. So people intentionally kill those animals and walk away unharmed. Well, Irwin is rolling in his grave already and sadly we can't tell the stingrays to kill THESE *******s in self defense.

This is disgusting and makes everything Steve tried to do a waste of time and all in vain.<br><br><br><br>
This is no way to pay tribute to someone who had so much respect and cared so much about wildlife. Sometimes, I wish I were an animal myself, I'd belong to a far more intelligent species.!!<br><br><br><br>
I daresay little will be done to protect these poor creatures. Theyr'e 'only animals' after all so who cares.<br><br><br><br>
We have all these 'animal organisations' around the world, supposedly to protect the worlds animals from cruelty and abuse, but half the time they are of no use whatsoever. I am so angry.

There's a chance that the media are bigging this 'retaliation' story up a bit. Unfortunately, stingrays being subjected to mutilation is nothing new. On the beach near my house, I've seen teenage boys sitting on the end of the jetty catching stingrays on their fishing lines now and then. They usually cut off their tails to keep the barb as a trophy. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/sick.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="">
