Does anyone find eating mentally stimulating>?.

Because when I was craving mental stimulation( A while back now) from my boring life that's what a friend suggested...That I hunker down and feast.. I was like you gotta be kidding. I already do this sometimes because of my need for high calories, but I do it for physical needs, not mental stimulation.

To me eating is like fueling a car. It's just done to provide your body with energy needed to do other things. A means to an end.

So I'm thinking I guess there is really something I'm not getting here that eating can be an activity in and of itself, not just fuel for other activities. BTW, my friend is fat and I'm thinking this might be partially why.

Depends on the food. I certainly find some meals very stimulating to both mind and senses. It doesn't happen all the time, of course, but with the right kind of food, you're in for so much more than just a palatable experience.

I definitely find eating mentally stimulating. I guess some people just eat for sustenance and don't think about it much, but I always savor the flavors, textures and colors of my food. Like right now I'm eating a delicious burrito: tempe, red and green bell peppers, onions, garlic, roasted corn, tomatoes, avocado, cilantro, chili powder, cumin and hot sauce all wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla. Good for the body, soul and mind!

Not having mental stimulation and not knowing exactly what you mean by the phrase mental stimulation are two different things. Maybe you could explain to SpecialK12 exactly what you mean...
