I ran across these Crispy Rolled Tacos this weekend and bought two flavors: Santa Fe Chicken Style and Chipotle Chicken Style. The third flavor on the shelf, Garlic Chicken Style, didn't entice me enough to buy it. At $6.50 a pack, I thought buying two of them was audacious enough, especially not knowing if I was going to like them. All three flavors are vegan. Looking on their website, they also have a line of taquitos. Personally, I never heard of "rolled tacos". What's the difference between rolled tacos and taquitos? Their taquitos have corn tortillas and the rolled tacos have flour tortillas.

These come six to a pack. They are about 8" long and about 1" thick. The two flavors I bought were similar, but I preferred the Santa Fe flavor. The soy chicken in both of them is tasty and fairly realistic. The filling was well spiced, not bland or overbearing. The crispy flour tortilla even tasted good. They did not seem to have any heat, but then again, I have a high tolerance for hot foods. If it had any heat at all, it wasn't much.

I think they could make a meal by itself, but I view these as a side dish. I would normally have maybe 2 of them along with a burrito and/or rice & beans. I haven't dressed them up yet, but I think they would be great with some vegan cheese, lettuce and guacamole. I liked them quite well and I could easily recommend them.

Btw...your review was awesome... thank-you for giving more information than saying they just tasted good.
I found these at a local health food store called Home Healthy Market. I'm glad you posted your question because I forgot to come back and mention their taquitos that I purchased about a week later (at another store called Earth Fare). The taquitos were definitely not as enjoyable as the rolled tacos. Their corn tortillas dried out when they were heated in the oven and took on a rawhide texture. I love chewy foods, but this was not one of those times. The corn tortillas had added a bit of flavor because of the corn tortillas, but the tough texture ruined it for me. Also, just to note, they were smaller in size, but you get 8 of them instead of 6 of the larger rolled tacos.

I would definitely give the chicken flavour a chance sometime, I've never tried the beef and now I think I won't bother but the chicken is super tasty. Also I think I like the taquitos better than the rolled tacos, they're crispier.

I have the taquitos, the outside is fine, it's the filling. When I get through more stuff in my freezer, I might buy the chik'n ones.

Doh its the taquitos that I purchased!! Heated one up in the toaster oven and munched it not fully cooked. Wow it tasted like grade A junk food. Well. Tasted better than the omni gruel taquitos by a zillion but still tasted like junk food

Loved it

After a few days of eating these I adore them but I feel guilty eating them. I see they get pretty bubbly due to the oil while heating in my toaster oven. The filling really is super tasty and savory. The outside is crunchy like uh re toasted fried tortilla chips. I would not hesitate to buy them as snacks ... But since I'm dieting they make me feel guilty lol

Dana, I agree. They are long but still . I think they would benefit from having a lower calorie bean version or at least a spicy flavor...

And SuicideBlonde, you should! Crunch crack :p
