Hi everyone

As Guinness is unsuitable for vega*ns, do you know of any vegan stouts that taste as nice, or similar to? Preferably, they're to be well known as lesser known brands will be more difficult to come by should i or we venture down the pub.

I thought Guinness Extra Stout was indeed vegan.

Strike the above - perhaps not.

See here:

So the Extra Stout in North America might be vegan friendly, but we've gotten so many contradictory responses from these guys over the years that we've pretty much given up.

Either way - this is a good site for researching veg*n beverages.

Thanks Dedalus but I'm not sure what any of these taste like, i'm looking for somebody to point me in the direction of a Guinness-like drink. I can't bear the thought of drinking watery lager while everyone else enjoys their smoothy, frothy pints of irish stout.

I need to pay more attention to alcoholic beverages- I tend to just drink it if it's in front of me
