sprouting bulk sunflower

I am working to establish a routine of either soaking or sprouting then dehydrating seeds bought in bulk. However, in my experience most of what I find do not germinate. I know that almonds are by law required to be sterilized so finding sproutable almonds is out of the question. But has anyone had luck with sunflower seeds or have any resources on sprouting nuts and seeds from groceries that sell in bulk. Soaking is good but sprouting is even better and would like to learn more about finding reliable sources or this practice.
