I've got the ingredients and will make it some time this week. I'm excited because I actually found red lentils. They are impossible to find in my little town but I had to go to Richmond for a doctor's appontment and I stopped into the grocery store and found them. I'll post my reaction (and my family's) as soon as we try it. I know we are gonna love it...it looks delish!!
MMMMMM-MMMMM. thank you so much, Herself. we did up a batch of this today for lunch. it was so easy and tasty. i played around with the quantities because i need to feed four very hungry vegans every meal time, and i cooked the rice with some raisins and cinnamon instead of cloves (i hate cloves!), but i used the general method and it was such a great result. thanks again!
I have made this twice already and I really like it. It reheats well, too.

My second version was modified. I used more lentils and threw in a can of diced tomatoes. I was glad that I finally found red lentils. For so long I was wondering what the heck they were. But then I found them in the bulk section of the HFS. They are fantastic lentils!
