I have now cut down my running route (about 4 miles) from 45 to between 35 and 40 minutes in 2-3 months. I was quite pleased about this, but wasn't sure whether it would now be best to go for speed or endurance. Should I do the same route and keep trying to speed up, or should I extend the route back to 45 minutes? If I do the second I presume that I will increase my speed also?

I'm a relatively new runner (just under 2 years), and am really learning from scratch to be honest. I'd appreciate your advice, though I realise that I'll probably just have to decide for myself.
