I love Y Tu Mama Tambien....

What about Maria Full of Grace? Great movie and all Spanish speaking- there were a couple scenes where even I could tell what was being said and I don't know that much Spanish.

If you're learning the language, why not rent some english movies that you are already familiar with and just play the Spanish DVD Track.

I love Spanish movies!!!

I just saw Amores Perros this past week, and wow. So powerful!

You should check out Almodovar's stuff, it's really good. Try out Hable con Ella for starters. Also, try Cronicas with John Leguizamo. Dramatic, emotional, and full of surprises. I try to rent one Spanish movie and one English movie every time I rent movies.

Great idea for a thread!!

And I also *love* Y Tú Mamá También. So good.
