What is the difference? Just the color, taste or what? I only use dry beans not canned, but have been told that dry soya beans take a long, long, long time to cook. Is this true? DLS

I have only cooked the 'regular' (yellow, I guess?) soybeans and I soak them overnight, then cook in a LOT of water on high in my crockpot.

They're done in about 8 hours, which IS a while but not too bad since it's a crockpot and you're just leaving it alone all day... - I say go ahead and try them.

Thanks Tofu-N-Sprouts

I do not have Hdryo for power so cannot use the crockpot but I am going to soak some of the black soybeans all day then put them on the wood stove for the night and see what happens.
