Sorry, just need to vent heh.<br><br>
She's an omni, and we were talking about vegetarian diets etc, and animal cruelty in regards to meat production - I was saying how much it bothered me, and she was agreeing and saying how much it bothered her that her friends didn't seem to care, and she came out with: "I do care about their welfare and stuff but I don't really have the time to be thinking too much about what I eat, you know?"<br><br>
I don't know why that riled me up soooo much, heh.

Perhaps your cousin will get to the point where it doesn't seem too much trouble for her to stop supporting meat production. I hope she does! But I see this a lot: vegetarianism seems like more trouble than it's worth to a lot of people, even those who care about animals (to a degree).

Yes, I agree. I wish these people who care about animals but are scared of the effort would give it a go: they'd find out it's not that difficult at all. People's apathy saddens me, but I don't want to seem like a crazy-evangelist veg*n shoving my views down other people's throats. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/sad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":(">

Perhaps when the opportunity presents itself, you could take a few minutes to enlighten her with some of your knowledge on the subject of animal cruelty.

Well if she has time to ponder what cruelty the animals went through, then why can't she just make the change and cut meat out of her diet? It's not hard, people.
