Both of my cats love playing with ping pong balls, bits of string, etc, like most cats do. They're adorable.

Molly, my eldest, has a bedtime ritual. 20 minutes or so after I go to bed, she arrives, and sits by my bed on the floor until I put down my book and say, 'come on then'. She jumps up onto the bed and sometimes she wants to lay above the covers and other times she nuzzles them with her head until I lift them up so she can snuggle beneath them.

Taff, the younger one, likes to be lint rolled with those cat hair remover things!

I don't know really, we have a bunch of things that just kind of evolved.

We play with the usual toys. Milo likes to snuggle and "knead" me a lot, so we do that. Zelda likes to sit on me, but doesn't like to be pet that much (she has issues), so it's kind of like hands-off snuggling. I talk to all of them a lot, mostly in a sickening kind of baby-talk that they seem to like. My bf is a little rougher with them, especially Nigel and Milo. He likes to swing them between his legs (they get this hilarious confused look on their faces, but don't seem to mind). Sometimes Nigel licks his head for long periods of time (he's my bf's baby). I have a special song that I sing to Milo (he's my baby), and we've always bonded when I brush him vigorously the way he likes (the others don't like being brushed). That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

My cats are so social sometimes I need to shoo them to get things done They will hang out in whatever room I'm in, sometimes on me, sometimes next to me, sometimes just on the same piece of furniture, or sometimes somewhere within earshot in the room. They both like to sleep in bed with us, and sleep on my chest. They love getting treats and catnip and playing with ribbons and yarn and their "bird" and plastic rings. We have many conversations about all manner of things, and they very much enjoy pets and scratches on the chin and head.

Thanks for the responses. These are so cute. I love reading what others say about their cats.

I have a girl who isn't very sociable. Sometimes she'll let me pet her, sometimes she'll even let me hug and kiss her. She likes rubbing against me, like putting her scent on me. She really likes the Cat Dancer toy. Often she uses my arm for a chew toy.

I have a boy who plays fetch, like a dog. He trained us to throw a ball or a crumpled up piece of paper, and he'll go get it and bring it back so we can throw it again. He really likes it when you throw it on the top of the stairs, and it rolls down to the bottom floor. This cat is so laid back, you can give him medicine or put him in the carrier and he doesn't fight against it.

I have another boy who likes "fishing" type toys, and *lots* of hugs and kisses.

I'm afraid my cats might get bored with the current activities and I'm looking for new different things to do with them.

My Thor likes to play go fetch with a rolled up piece of tin foil.

None of my four kitties likes to play much anymore. I just bought a new toy with a feather on a string on a stick but they don't like it. They do like the little catnip mice. Mostly they just like to be with/on me. They follow me wherever I go.

I play with my cats some, but mostly we just hang out :lol I work at my desk, and they sit on the desk or by the chair. I'm on the phone - they sit on my lap. They played more when they were younger but they're middle aged now (7-10 years) and their play is mostly with each other. Every now and then I think of getting a kitten again to liven things up.

Yesterday after work, one of my boys seemed like he needed a little attention. I picked him up and went in the room, and closed the door. Just me and him, alone, mother-son bonding. He was rolling around in catnip and we played with a fishing toy, and he was soooooo happy. I mean, he can do catnip and play with toys without me, but I can tell that he prefers to share the moment with me.

Our kitten sleeps with us, and we got him one of those toys where you hold the stick and there's a string & mouse attached to it.

Since he has Soft Paws, he likes it when I hold him and let him bat at my bangs.

We just spend time with him, play with him, find what he likes and do it with him.

Pan loves to play. She'll chase pretty much anything as long as it isn't too big, but she especially loves to play with her favourite toy - an old windscreen wiper blade on the end of a stick. She'll also chase me around the garden if I run and hide, then I have to jump out and say 'gottcha' and she bolts off in another direction. She doesn't need much of an excuse to run, and if often ends up with her bolting up a tree.

She also loves to find me. She comes in making this very particular meowing sound and I have to respond, then she runs in to where ever I am in the house making the different 'I found you' sound, then I have to pat her a bit. Sometimes it's fun to hide and not call out when she does this, then she gives me this look when she finds me like 'that's not the game!'.

My partner and I also play this game with her where she comes in and we both try to call her over to us and whoever she goes to wins, she loves to draw that one out.

One of her favourite things is making the bed, she loves getting under and over the sheets and blankets and generally making a pain in the a**e of herself. It's hilarious.

She doesn't like to be picked up but if you're sitting down, and you're lucky, she might come and sit on the arm of your chair, or, of you're very lucky, maybe your knee. This is a great honour, but usually means that she wants your seat, and if you get up, she'll take it.

She always comes in after we turn the lights out and go to bed to see whether we're actually here for the night or not. I wonder what she does when we're not? Anyway, she comes in meowing like 'where are you' then we have to call out to her and she runs in and up on the bed for a quick pat, then goes down to the end of the bed to sleep for a little while, then she's off again. In winter she sometimes demands to climb into the bed for a while to get warm.

So as you can tell, I really love my Pan. I've been working on my thesis at home for the last year so I spend more time with Pan than anyone else, she's my best bud.

How sweet I can see a cat doing that - sitting on the arm of the chair, telling you to get up, lol. I love the little hide-and-seek game.

Two of my cats go under the blankets when we make the bed too. I usually just tuck the sheets in all around them.

Thanks SummerSn0ws.

We just pile all the bedding on top of Pan and then play 'where's the kitty???'. Do your cats also attack your feet through the blankets when they're on top of the bed? Pan loves to do that but I don't like it so much since she figured out that if she jumps down onto the floor and climbs back up under the blankets, she can attack my feet directly.

Pan is a cutie! That's a great picture.

I wonder if I covered one of my cats with all the bedding, would they go for it, LOL. I don't know if they will, but I think I'll try it. My cats don't attack my feet - I'm so glad too - I used to have a cat that did that. He attacked them good too, and while we were asleep. It didn't feel good.

I tried to attach a picture here - I don't know if it came out. If so, this is Cloudy, my eldest. What a sweetie!!! I love that facial expression. To me it looks like she's kind of not impressed, a bit like 'I'm surrounded by idiots' (no offence to you of course). Is that anything like what you see there?

Yeah Pan can be a bit rough sometimes, she just randomly attcks people on occassion but it's usually in a playful way. She loves to rub on my damp ankles when I've just gotten out of the shower but sometimes she gets a bit carried away and wraps her little cat-arms around my lower leg and starts biting. It's pretty funny. I sometimes have to put pants on quick.

Ooh!! My kitties!!

I pet them. I scratch them. Sunny loves her back scratched, and she loves when you say her name. I make those little baby cooing sounds... Klaud plays fetch with a little fuzzy ball he likes... I 'm not kidding- he actually brings it back! They like catnip and bags (tote bags, paperbags, etc.)They like their dangly feather toy. They like the hide and seek, especially outside. Kitties are super!!

No offence taken That's kinda her attitude, "I'm surrounded by idiots," or "leave me alone," or any other antisocial type thing. Most people would say she's mean, but I say she's strong and independent and just likes her space, lol. And she's very loving and snuggly, when she's in the mood for it.
