Im not sure if this shud go in the news or here but anyways

So today i saw this like article in the newspaper (cant find it on the internet and its been recycled)

Anyways so it was saying that a 6 year old boy beat his puppy to death

6 years old !!

It stated that he kicked punched and threw his puppy on playground equipment untill the puppy died !

WTF !

Seriously they better get that kid some help man !

And it reminds me of this poem that i know ..

BILLY - Kristen Sharer

When Billy was 6 one fine Easter day,

He received a gift with which he could play.

It was a sweet little bunny with hair to the floor.

What could have happened when it was found dead by the door?

Accidental, they said. Billy's just a child.

He played too rough. He got a little bit wild.

When Billy was 10 at a neighbor's house,

He poured some bleach on a friendly pet mouse.

Boys will be boys is what they said.

Be careful, they added as they patted his head.

When Billy was 12 they found some deep cuts

On the face and the neck of the sweet family mutt.

No harm was done. The dog's not hurt bad.

He didn't mean to do it. He truly feels sad.

When Billy was 16, he took a gun to school.

He fired upon them while calling them fools.

When Billy was finished having his fun,

He smiled at his carnage and lay down his gun.

The town went on weeping and all through the trial.

He showed no remorse. He showed not a smile.

What happened they asked, to a boy so fine?

How could it be, he showed not a sign.

What about me? Said the ghose of the long dead mouse?

And I the rabbit, who was found dead in the house?

And the eldery dog with scars that still showed

Softly whined and wondered, HOW DIDN'T THEY KNOW?

So a 6 year old was left alone without supervision on a playground long enough to beat a puppy to death? Makes you wonder...

Oh my gosh that's a sad poem.. but unfortunately true nowadays. There was a teen like that in my area recently who killed a girl he went to school with.. and there had been repeated times of him abusing animals when he was growing up that no one seemed to think was a problem. How could you not see abuse of any other living thing as a problem?!?!??

wonderful, beautiful poem.

do you know who wrote it?

i'm going to find a poem that i have by Light and post it - it's really beautiful and enlightening and sorrowful too.

i know that this is REALLY tame compared to what we've read here but, my in-laws have a sweet old dog named Blue. It really makes me sad that my husband's niece and nephew upon being gently greeted by this loving dog just shove him out of the way. i've never heard them say "hello" or give him a pat or anything. he's below them and already they've been taught to and do believe that.

That poems so true,

People never realise the signs that lead to hurting others (not always murder)

They should spend more time focusing on people that hurt things like animals from a young age, or even just menatily or physically abusing others,

rather then people that wear black trench coats...

Danny

This incident occurred in my hometown. It is very disturbing, but sadly only a drop in an ocean of animal cruelty committed by humans. I hope the kid gets help before he kills more animals or starts killing people.

I'm printing out that poem and framing it in my room

anyone else noticed when someone attempts a mass murder that doesnt even happen they could be put on death row and when someone viciously stabs 3 dogs to death they get a fine under a thousand dollars and are allowed to go on with their life as normal?

I couldn't find the article talking about it, but this reminds me of what happened near where I live. I think 3 guys, 16-18 years old, broke into a farm at night and beat and killed about a dozen calves with bats. A few were still alive. I can't amagine what killing them was like; It would have taken time and I'm sure they suffered greatly...these young men were very disturbed. All I can remember is that they didn't get what they deserved by the justice system. I was mortfied when I heard.
