I kind of agree with the twerp. I always think reunions of old groups are somehow a little sad, but at least the Police have all of their original members, unlike some groups that go on "reunion" tours. I did like the Police a lot though, so maybe I would go, but only if they just do Police songs. I really loathe most of Sting's solo career, so I would hate to go and have to listen to any of his solo stuff. On second thought, I hate big stadium shows and the tickets will probably be prohibitively expensive anyway, and they probably won't play anywhere near me, so forget it, I won't be there...

Well, yeah. It is sad when you see bands with only 1/2 of the members and the lead singer can't hit the high notes anymore, but this...this is well, to use the 80's vernacular..awesome!

I would love to but we would have to drive to dallas and see if my sister could watch the kids and that is if the concert fell on a weekend and if we could afford the tickets. I hope all who are going have fun. I love the police.

I would love to go... If they were playing in Honolulu I would totally fly over. But I can't imagine flying to the mainland for a concert.... oh well...

I've seen Sting twice and was always a big Police fan. I think this is wonderful news!

That reminds me of something funny about sting!!. Some years ago when I worked in a A&E (ER) dept,. Sting came in as a patient with his entourage. The receptionist insisted on having his real name. Then he was seen by a senior nurse who is an older lady who stood for no nonsense and had never heard of him . He said he was in the 'Police' she said " Oh I know most of the police (cops) who come in here, but I dont recognise you".

I would have loved to see his face!!

We all still laughed about that now!. This nurse has retired now.

poppyseed, that is too funny! Of course, I'd probably be likely to do something similar. Watching the coverage of the Brit Awards last night, I found myself saying "who?" an awful lot.

I thought this was the case too, but the band members have been vehemently denying it in the past few days. They claim to just have had different "musical styles", etc. I'm not convinced.

Supposedly it's coming out in the next month or two. Rumor has it that Christmas on Mars will be released, followed by the live DVD that was shot in OKC and California this past summer.
