And it says in the rare case that a kitten is returned, someone else can have the cat who could not otherwise afford one.

What "hypoallergenic cat webpage" are you talking about? If someone can't afford to buy a cat they're not going to be able to afford to keep one. You can "buy" cats from shelter from $50 or so. Why in heck would you get a kitten and return it? Geez, it's not like they're jeans that don't fit.

Because people who are allegic can't keep regular cats and hypoallergenic cats are very expensive.

I cant imagine someone spending 4Gs on a cat, then returning it if they can't get a refund. At least I assume they can't get a refund, otherwise the lab wouldn't give the cat away to someone else.

You can sometimes find the various "hairless" varieties in shelters. I've seen a few come through over the years. What kind of person gets a cat from a lab?

What is the price reduction if you purchase a "used" kitten?

I would guess that even if they offer a full refund, they would still have to let pre owned cats go for much less because people paying $4000 for a kitten probably want a cute little newborn one.
