My boyfriend snores like a mofo. His sister emailed him an article on a surgery to reduce snoring, but he says it doesn't bother him that much. Hello! It bothers me!

Has anyone had good results with nonsurgical snoring cessation/reduction techniques?

I'm with aj'smommy, I nudge (push) my husband and tell him to roll over, d*mnit. He only snores in certain positions. Of course, I snore like anything, but he's a martyr so he just lets me do my thing and stars at the wall!

Odd how the snorer is never bothered by it (if aware at all) .... I used to have to turn on white noise static on a radio channel when I lived at home to block out my dad's snoring from down the hall (and yes my door was closed LOL ). Snoring is so annoying.

Punching and jabbing him with your elbow in his ribs may be effective

I've seen those Breathe Rite strips at the pharmacy and they're supposed to help snorers.

Personally, I like jabbing my s/o and then pretending I did it by mistake. hehehe

I never jab my bf when he snores I say, "honey, will you please turn over?" I'm not kidding! I think my waking him up is just as much a disturbance to him as his snoring is to me. Turning on his side helps, but not always.

On the other hand, when he grinds his teeth in his sleep, I'm not so pleasant. I say, "hey!" "HEY!!!" Until he stops. Jeez, that annoys me!

He does need to lose a little weight and I'm going to suggest we start exercising together. I'll see if he'll try the Breathe Rights.

Right now he works 3rd shift, so we only spend a couple nights a week together. He might get moved to 1st shift, though.

Quote:
