Hi,

I thought it would be nice for people to share some of their favorite veg*n snacks or things to snack on

Frozen grapes.

Fruit in any shape or form.

Dried fruit - especially dates, prunes.

Nuts - all kinds, sometimes in a mix with raisins or sultanas.

Air popped popcorn with soy sauce.

Hummus and breadsticks, hummus and tomatoes, hummus with pitta bread, hummus on toast.

Peanut butter on toast.

Crackers with peanut butter.

Salsa with breadsticks or pitta bread.

Green olives.

I'm sure there are lots more, these are just the ones that spring to mind.

I like raw almonds. They have a nice, meaty flavor to them and are a good high-protein snack when my blood sugar level drops especially. For a while I was really addicted; I'd buy 3 or 4 bags at a time at Trader Joe's because I ate so many of them I didn't want to run out. Now I'm okay with one or two bags at a time, but I still don't like to run out.

Popcorn with Earth Balance is another snack I like.

A good crunchy apple is another snack I like, along with dried apricots.

My favorites are dried fruit, hummus on toast, popcorn, pita chips with salsa, and pears (Ooh pears!).

I like hummus with veggies or chips, veggie chips, popcorn, wheat thins, triscuits, strawberries, nuts.

It's making me hungry thinking about snacks! Haha

I love frozen grapes! I obviously love fruits, as well, and nuts are a good thing for a crunchy, filling snack. Yum - peanut butter on toast. I had that for breakfast!

I like almonds, too. And you can never go wrong with an apple!

Pita chips and salsa is a good one! And pears (ooh pears!). Who doesn't love a good piece of fresh fruit?

I'm not a big fan of hummus, but seeing as it can be used for so many good and healthy things, I'll have to give it another try!
And you're right - all this talk about snacks is making me hungry!

I like snacking on fruits, chips, crackers and cheese (lacto vegetarian here!), etc.

Hummus on pita with olives, black olives. That's my number one snack right now.

Popcorn

When in season, fresh, local strawberries.

Also, fresh local black berries.

Mango

Avocado

Raisin bread

Taco Bell bean burrito

McDonalds Oatmeal (served all day)

Thai fresh salad rolls with tofu

All kinds of nuts

hummus, fruits, any type of nuts...I use to love whole almonds until I cracked a tooth.

Fruits, especially apples, grapes and bananas
Hummus with just about anything, from crackers to carrots
Popcorn drizzled with chocolate
Tortilla chips and salsa
Nachos with Daiya cheese
Chocolate
Wine biscuits
Nuts, nuts and more nuts, pretty much any kind, but especially roasted almonds, pistachios and walnuts.

I mainly snack on fruit. I absolutely love pears, so i can eat them all day long.
other things i snack on include hummous and veg, such as carrots and celery.
I also like to snack on nuts. My favourite are salted, i try not to eat too many of those because i get so thirsty afterwards.
