Asking for "american slang" is a pretty big umbrella.

You have street slang, internet slang, etc. etc.

the site above should help with some.

Most odd slangs come from the street, or rather "urban america": hoo-rah (car) fo shizzle (for real!) - but I think most of these are simply due to a lack of education, because they sound pretty remedial.

It's kind of unfortunate that you are just interested in American slang, because one of the best slang dictionaries I've come across deals with British slang.
