It doesn't bother you that it's been categorized as One of the Fifty Worst Films of All Time?

Some of my 60's faves: Mary Poppins, Bedknobs and Broomsticks (both Disney), The Sound of Music, and also Yellow Submarine, which I ADORE.

ETA: Oh, and then there are the more ADULT movies, such as The Great Escape (with Steve McQueen), Bonnie and Clyde and also True Grit. I refuse to see the remake of True Grit because the original is just so damn good, and it won John Wayne his only Oscar (well deserved).

Win!

I'm partial to any Julie Andrews film, and also love Funny Girl.

I not only saw it, I have it on disk. It was finally released just this past year. In fact, I think I'll watch it tonight!

These are also among my faves.

Let's not forget West Side Story and My Fair Lady.

Any discussion of classic movies has to include Alfred Hitchcock. I don't like ALL his movies, but two of my favorites are Psycho and The Birds.

I LOVE the scene in the latter in which whatsername is waiting in the school playground and looking everywhere but in front of her and then she looks up and sees...The Birds.

i know that's not directed at me but why would it matter if someone else didn't like a movie i like? when i went to rent a movie that would become one of my all time favourites, the cashier told me it wasn't even worth the rental fee
