I just watched 'The Nature of Things' on CBC Wednesday night, and it was examining the similarity between humans and other animals. I think it was a good show because it not only looks at cats and dogs (who are the usual human companions), but also elephants, octopuses, dolphins, chimps, rodents, and even lizards. It's amazing to see how these animals can also demonstrate emotions, intelligence. They are different certainly, but also similar to humans in a lot of ways.

Jane Goodall's central point when talking about her experiences with Chimpanzees seems to be how like them we are.

I have a Canadian friend who consistently recommends the nature of things to me.<br>
Any idea where I could find the episodes online or anything? The subject you're referring to also seems interesting in particular.
