I really don't remember the context of this photograph, but I think it is safe to infer that I was on the road to a peaceful diet long before I made it official much later in 2003.

I dont remember having any feelings like that about meat back then though, so I really cant imagine what caused this situation to play out, though I sure know what I'd like to imagine it was about.

That is so cute!

I think all kids are natural vegetarians. If you showed a kid an animal and told them it needs to die for them to eat it...which is true...I don't think we'd have any meat-eaters in this world.

I deal with kids all the time. Almost every child is naturally compassionate toward animals. They just don't make the connection between the chicken mcnugget and the chickies because no one tells them until they're addicted to the mcnuggets and are jaded enough not to care.

So true! Dennis isn't even two years old but he wouldn't eat any of the meat I gave him before I made the change. There is a big bag of nuggets just sitting in the freezer still and he won't eat them. He doesn't like any kind of chicken, not turkey, not beef, nada. Although he would try the first time I gave him any of that. But ever since he hasn't eaten any.

Quote:
