I agree about getting a hearing test. I have some congenital nerve deafness in my right ear, and even had surgery to try to correct it when I was young. I've had hearing tests on and off for about 35 years. It's no big deal. You sit in a soundproof booth and are asked to respond to the sounds you hear. If there is a problem and you end up with a hearing aid, it could improve your quality of life considerably. And since you expect to continue on to University, having a hearing problem and not doing anything about it could really affect your educational experience.
