I accidentally bought a dehydrator and spiral slicer on Amazon this morning. I stayed within my budget this month and it was kind of a spur of the moment treat. For the last several weeks I've been researching raw food recipes and looking at raw food porn and reading about how great it is, so I've decided to go forward. I've got some staple foods to get through this week. And I get paid on the 31st, so I'll go grocery shopping with "raw in mind" that day. Oh, and I am cutting out soda this week. I had my last one this morning. My energy levels have been low (better than when I ate meat, but still not great) and I'm beginning to feel old. So I'm really looking forward to this journey. Just thought I'd share

Yeah, good luck with everything! Dehydrators are great, but make sure you get some quick meal ideas, too, as dehydrators don't make for quick and easy meals - they make for treats and snacks you can keep on hand, and in some cases a meal you can put in there the day before or something to prepare.

Be careful!! I totally thought I could use one of the blades like a mandolin, and mangled my finger

But it's still a cool kitchen gadget, and I love using it
