the following message was received by me:

Congratulations to all who took part in last week's action alert. Two of the companies, Pearsons and Enviro-Waste have pulled out and sent in begging letters asking for the calls, emails and faxes to stop. Sunlight is having board meetings about being a subject of protests and LIG Supplies are working over time to make us go away (not a chance!). Managing Director, Graham Bayfield, has been personally emailing saying that they are not doing business with HLS; unfortunately for him, that is not what others in his company have been saying and we have evidence to the contrary. So, ignore his emails, and keep contacting them until they drop HLS.

And all this on top of the amazing victory against HLS's Japanese sales office partners CBC. HLS say it is an investment having to waste more money they cant afford to buyout their joint sales company in Japan, but the rest of the world are not fooled - CBC were well and truely beaten and made the sensible business decision to abandon HLS in the end, as experience proves everyone does in the end.

So, lets continue the roll and inflict the second part of the suppliers "double whammy". Below are Sunlight, LIG Supplies and two more suppliers of HLS. You know what to do by now, and you know how successful it is. Time to get busy and cause HLS another round of headaches and heartache and wasted time trying to replace yet more suppliers.

ps. Yamanouchi are not having a good time of it either, so when you've finished communicating with the suppliers, why not contact Yamanouchi as well and ask about their very embarrassing security breach in California, when their guestbook was leaked to animal rights activists. Oh dear, we bet they've a lot of explaining to do.... More on this coming soon!

The following details on HLS suppliers come from the SHAC website at www.shac.net

1. INDUSTRIAL BOILER SERVICES

This is another company caught out and tricked into admitting that they are up to their necks in animal abuse and working to supply and maintain all the boilers at HLS. This company confirmed that HLS owe them money outstanding from some months ago, invoice number 6912 for 987.00p and invoice number No 6922 for £12,652.40. It comes as no surprise to see that HLS dont pay their bills you cant pay your bills when you dont have any money! Industrial Boilers also gave us the name of every boiler on site and what units they are in very helpful!

Contact them and show them what compassionate people think of animal cruelty.

2 L.I.G. SUPPLIES

LIG the lab equipment suppliers also go into round 2. We had a tip-off from a disgruntled worker about this company, but when we contacted them they lied and totally denied their involvement with HLS although they did say they wouldnt rule out using them in future.

One of their workers later confirmed HLSs account and told us they had an outstanding invoice number 311238 for June 2003 for £977.60p! LIG are now denying this and saying it was a computer error. Someone from SHAC asked Cambridgeshire police to check with LIG and HLS and clarify this but they came back saying they cant get an answer.

So until we get a clear unequivocal statement from LIG saying they do not supply HLS and wont in the future the fight goes on. This company sells all the instruments of torture used to cut up and mutilate thousands of animals inside HLS every day - contact them and tell them about the horrific abuse they are a party to.

3.INTERNATIONAL PRODUCT SUPPLIES

International Product Supplies have been supplying HLS with lab clothes for some years all the gowns and outfits the sick animalkillers put on before starting their days work mutilating and terrifying animals. They have applied to classify their PO Box as sensitive with the police theyve got plenty to hide. Unfortunately for them they are not too clever and yet again SHAC got the full picture of their involvement with HLS. We even got HLSs account number with them: HLS114. HLS owe them a fortune what a surprise. Invoices 30273 for £301.39, 30272 for £1604.02, 30301 for £604.02, 30305 for £1237.80, 30372 for £1729.37 all these are May-and then we go into June: 30424 for £4569.46, 30425 for £802.01, 30433for £1336.68, 30482 for £247.10, 30491 for £1760.74, 30492 for £1138.93! Not exactly a very desirable customer are they!

Contact IPS and voice your disgust at their involvement with HLS:

4 SUNLIGHT

This nationwide laundry company are up to their necks in it with HLS. We spoke to Ian Flack from Sunlight who negotiated the contract with HLS. He told us in a matter of fact way that they have a problem getting the blood off the lab clothes from HLS, and also the monkey hair where workers have been holding the primates. HLS are just another job to heartless, money-grabbing people like this contact them and show them what caring is all about. What a sick company washing the blood off the murderers clothes. Contact Sunlight and advise them that dealing with HLS is bad for business. For a full list of Sunlight sites please click here

Update:

[shac-uk] ***SUNLIGHT HAS PULLED - NEW TARGET***

Great news - Sunlight have announced that they are no longer dealing with HLS! They just keep on falling. To replace Sunlight we have Officeline UK - see below for details.

LIG Supplies keep trying to tell people who contact them that they have had nothing to do with HLS since 2000. This is not true, and until they give a formal statement to this effect then they will not come off the list of targets.

===From the SHAC website at www.shac.net===

4 OFFICELINE U.K.

Officeline UK Ltd are one of HLSs local collaborators in animal cruelty. They provide HLS with office supplies we have about fifty pages of outstanding invoices. What a surprise - HLS owe them money too, about 15 grand. Officeline UK are yet another firm who are quite happy to make deliveries to HLS and quite happy to deal with animal killers and get paid with money that comes from the suffering and fear of animals. Time to make them realise that decent, compassionate people have got a problem with Officeline UK dealing with HLS and would like them to stop. Also ask that Officeline UK call in HLSs debts too with immediate effect.
