Electronic protest software has been set up to allow people to repeatedly email the accounts of 102 Deloitte & Touche UK employees whose contact details were recently leaked to SHAC by an insider at the company. Deloitte & Touche are Huntingdon Life Sciences' auditors. It is vital that people put as much pressure as possible on this company over the next few days. It is now very easy for each person to send several thousand emails in an hour.<br><br><br><br>

Yes! After 10 days of intense campaigning, one of the worlds biggest auditing companies falls before the might of the animal rights movement. Deloitte & Touche announced late this afternoon (5pm GMT) that they were dumping HLS as a client. The top partner in the UK, James Connolly, declared they where no longer doing business with Huntingdon Life Sciences with the following short statement: "Having completed the audit for 2002, we will not be offering ourselves for re-election as auditors to Huntingdon Life Sciences."<br><br><br><br>
This is an absolutely amazing victory, hot on the heels of the hard fought battle against Marsh. This is what we can achieve when we put our minds and hearts to it. Over the last ten days there has been a flood of stories, actions and demos on the campaign againt Deloitte & Touche. Congratuations to everyone who made the effort to put pressure on this company. They were under siege from the moment the campaign was launched and were left very clear that they had no choice but to pull. This is the sort of power which will close the evil which is Huntingdon Life Sciences.<br><br><br><br>
