Oh, Sade's "Ordinary Love" is a really good one. Also, I don't know if you've heard, or like either one, but Deftones and the singer from Far do a cover of that song as well. It keeps the original mood nicely, it's just a bit faster.

I love Alison Krauss and Union Station's CD 'New Favorite'. If you've not had a chance to listen to it yet you simply must if you are even remotely an Alison Krauss fan. She sings like an angel

What are the saddest, most heart-wrenching songs you know?

I cannot listen to "Do What You Have To Do" by Sarah McLachlan if I'm feeling depressed because it makes me feel even worse and it makes me bawl my eyes out.

Also, Holly Cole does the most spooky version of Joni Mitchell's "River".

Speaking of Sarah McLachlan, I think "Possession" is a romantic song. And "Love Song" by The Cure, of course...

And "Enjoy the Silence" and "Somebody" by Depeche Mode.

ok, I got my CD finished, with 87 songs. I got a few from your suggestions, but most of them are ones that we've all heard on the radio many times. I just like popular music. (minus hip-hip and c-rap)

"Cat's in the Cradle" is a really depressing song for me.

Also, "Tears in Heaven".
